I often get to a place with my clients where I have begun enjoying their company so much, that I often forget that our
relationship started as a typical client/photographer relationship. Many of my clients become dear and amazing friends.
Christine is definitely one of those people. In addition to being an awesome friend, book sharer, and story teller…
she is also my Pilates instructor. She and I have spent an hour a day, three days a week together for the 6 weeks or so, and the results
in the way my body looks and feels has been amazing. Plus, how can I get bored (my usual issue with working out) when I
have Christine to keep me entertained!
On Friday, I spent an hour and a half in the morning with Christine working hard at Pilates, then I ran home, blogged
about Baby Jack, and prepared to head back to Christine’s for Baby Julia’s second session. We had a blast!
My favorite moment in the session came when Christine expressed, very sincerely, that no matter what she has in mind
to try to “create” during our session together, it all comes back to just capturing real life. That’s the way to keep everyone
happy, natural, and to really document what life really feels like. I really enjoyed hearing my thoughts about how these sessions
should occur reiterated to me by a long-time, happy client.
So here is what life looks like in the Thomas household most evenings :)
Big sister Mia wakes up, and slowly adjusts to being awake, while Baby Julia has ANOTHER diaper changed :)

A quick pic of me at work :) I love that Christine always puts mirrors over the changing table… it has made for some
really fun images in the past!

Lots of snuggling… every day. I don’t often miss things about the world of itty bitty babies… but I do miss that
amazing baby snuggling. (Although I have the snuggliest kids in the world, so I’m definitely not complaining!)

Baby Julia has started smiling on command… she seems so young to me, yet she seems to really have control of her
dazzling smile! Look at those crinkly, smiley eyes!

Mia was still recovering from having just woken up… so she took a short “Little Einsteins” break. Every time I see her, I
am amazed at how much she has grown up since our first session…

Finally Mia decided it was time to get a little snuggling in with Baby Julia. She left her post on the couch, and joined
Christine and Julia for some snuggle time in the nursery.

Gavin arrived home from work, and Mia immediately grabbed him for some toy time. We played with puzzles, blocks,
flashlights, and golf clubs. It was a fun evening :)

After we exhausted much of the toy collection, we headed back to the living room so Mia could finish that
“Little Einsteins” episode :) Love the family images we were able to capture while they watched a bit of TV together. (tons
more in the slideshow.)
Real life IS beautiful!

Finally, it was time for Baby Julia to get some sleep… Her nursery is SO fun, and I was excited to capture her in there…

Christine and Gavin… thanks for being our friends… and for being spectacular clients. You guys are amazing parents, and
I’m proud to have been a part of your children’s lives!
much love,
