Baby Mary McKenna… 2 weeks old.

In my last post, I shared with you Morgan and Michael’s story. Now I want to share the story of their adorable new addition… sweet Mary McKenna. I love the way Morgan described her… “the most amazing creation we have ever seen.” These are new parents who are seriously in love with their child. And I loved capturing that.

She is a pretty amazing creation…

Morgan described Michael as “the most energetic and fun-loving guy in the room, while managing to have the most caring and passionate heart….He is such a proud father and you can tell how much he loves his little girl every time he mentions her name.” Michael absolutely made my day during this session. He was so carefree and real in front of my camera… and the faces that I captured as a result are absolutely perfect.

Morgan is just as beautiful as always. Her smile is infectious, and she has already cultivated the perfect mix of sarcasm and tenderness… it’s what every mother needs in order to survive :)

And together… the three of the are just perfect. In case you wondered… this is what love looks like.

Mary McKenna’s nursery is adorable… I had to grab a few shots that showed off how great it is…

When Morgan told me that Baby Mary McKenna already loved her bath… I thought maybe she was crazy. She’s way too little to “love” anything :) But nope.. it’s true. She definitely LOVES her bath!

Baby feet. Seriously love them.

Morgan’s mom, Mary McKenna’s “Nonni”, joined us at the end of the session. She’s been a huge support to Morgan during these last two sleepless weeks. You can tell she is absolutely in love with her new grandbaby.

One of my favorite images from the day… this crazy hat was brought out for Mary McKenna to model for us… and apparently, she doesn’t love it. She immediately started crying… to the amusement of the adults in the room :)

And of course, we had to do a bit of promotion… I’m pretty sure Mary McKenna will be sporting this little shirt quite often over the upcoming weekends (you can see that she already worked her first event last weekend!) So adorable.

And one final fun image… while we were photographing Mary McKenna’s “scale” image (check out the slideshow to see the result… it’s an image we will take at every session, so we can see how much she’s growing), she decided to roll over. Sometimes this is kinda scary, but not at this session… everyone was ready! Seriously made me laugh so hard! I love it!

Morgan and Michael… again… I really love you guys. I cannot wait to watch Mary McKenna grow up this year. Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives. Your love (for each other and for your new baby girl) is inspiring. I hope you really enjoy your slideshow.

loads and loads of love,
