I often wish I could pause time. It’s been super exciting to watch “my babies” grow up… but it’s also a little sad. It’s similar to the feeling that you have when you realize that your own children aren’t babies anymore…
That’s kinda how I felt when I saw Baby Ben on Friday. He’s 20 months old (and Tamara is expecting another in August, so he’s about to be a big brother!) and he’s grown up SO much since the last time I photographed him. And if that weren’t bad enough… Baby Ben’s cousin Jack was there as well. The first time I photographed Jack was in 2006, and now Jack is such a big boy! He’s 5 years old, and has changed so much… I think it’s the haircut ;)
Anyway… all of that to say, it was really cool to see Tamara and Ben and Jack, but it was kinda sad too. I’m glad Tamara is having another baby for me to cuddle… soon!
Everything was crazy when I arrived, and when Tamara went to change Ben’s clothes, she decided to let him run around in his diaper for a bit (while she finished getting ready herself!) so that I could be sure to capture his adorable baby tummy…

Love this smile. He’s a doll, right?!

There’s something adorable about this posture…

Goodness, he’s such a gorgeous boy!

Fun feet… both baby’s and mommy’s!

My favorite time of day… reading time :)

After we played downstairs a bit, the boys got hungry, so we headed upstairs to the kitchen for a snack.

Check out Jack’s amazing eyelashes. Seriously, I am coveting.

We played outside for a little while… let the boys get out some energy. I love the things that turn into toys when you’re only 20 months old… Ben could’ve played with the straps in his stroller for hours!

And the door! What a fun toy ;)

Ben fell down, and needed a quick snuggle from his mom…

When Jack was Ben’s age, I photographed him “driving” the car… Apparently, Ben also loves doing this. He was SO intense with his “driving” :)

Loved this headshot of Jack :) He informed me that he is not wearing a hat… he is wearing a fedora. Awesome.

It was almost time for me to leave, but since Ben needed a quick shower, I wanted to stay and capture that. I’m so glad I did… these are definitely my favorite images from the session!

Tamara, I can’t wait to see you again in a few weeks… This was a super fun session, but I definitely missed Ryan. Excited to hang out with you all soon!
I hope you enjoy your slideshow!
