baby christian & his big brother cole… newborn session

Just a few weeks ago, I spent the afternoon with Erika and Cole, capturing their life as they prepared for Baby Christian’s arrival.

Well, he has arrived… and he is absolutely perfect :)

Erika is completely smitten with her new baby boy.

And Cole doesn’t seem to be having a hard time adjusting at all.

We ended our session in Baby Christian’s nursery… I’m in love with this room, and am so excited about photographing in here for the next year!

baby callaway…it’s officially newborn season!

About a year ago, I headed to an adorable small town in Georgia, to photograph Josh and Chris. They were hoping to start a family soon, and they wanted to commemorate their lives just the two of them… We had a blast, and I was very excited to have the opportunity to document their future.

That future has arrived, and her name is Baby Callaway :) Three newborns were born the last week of August, and Baby Callaway was the one I had the opportunity to photograph first… Isn’t she perfectly adorable?

Even her little bitty newborn cry is adorable!

Levi and Lucy have adjusted to the new addition… they are having to share prime lap real estate, but they seem to be ok with that. They’ve designated themselves as guard dogs, and they take their job very seriously.

I think it’s Chris that they’re guarding, though :)

I love newborn smiles… whether they’re legitimately smiles, or not, they’re adorable.

Chris is obviously in love with her baby girl… I’m so so happy for her.

She’s also in love with her husband… aren’t they just the cutest family?

Perfect little head of hair…

Newborn baths are fun… you try to hold onto a wet slippery squirmy baby while simultaneously doing the important job of getting her clean. I think they did a remarkable job:)

Baby toes are oh so kissable…

Newborns never fail to amaze me with their ability to sleep so soundly, anywhere, anytime… It’s beautiful.

I’m pretty sure they’re pretty happy with this new addition :)

And Lucy and Levi are adorable… I see them providing lots of comic relief for us over the next year :)

I love real life.

It was a perfect day. Chris and Josh, I can’t wait to see you guys again… I can only imagine how much she’s going to have grown in a few months! She’s absolutely beautiful, and I am so happy for you guys. I hope you enjoy your slideshow!!

Happy Birthday Baby Tucker!!!

I just got teary trying to think of how to sum up my thoughts about Baby Tucker and his amazing family. It feels like we’ve been friends forever… (How can you not become friends with amazing people like Katie and Gregsby? Their wedding day was one of my favorites ever, even if it was one of the hottest weddings we have ever photographed ;)) I don’t think of them as clients at all, but I am ever thankful that they continue to choose me to photograph their lives.

I was completely delighted (delighted? is that an odd word for me to use?) when I pulled up in front of Katie and Gregsby’s house and was greeted with this adorable setup…

The details were perfect… (as is to be expected, Katie is pretty perfect, in general:))

Details are great…but this is really about the birthday boy, right? And this birthday boy is absolutely adorable. Tucker woke up, and was immediately in the best mood ever.

Although, who wouldn’t be in a good mood when they were getting to perform tricks like these? :) (Gresby loves teaching his kids tricks that will give me a heart attack:))

He’s so cute, and he’s become such a big boy!

Emeline was as beautiful and charming as always… I adore this child.

I love parties with this family, because it means that Sally & Stephen and their adorable offspring will be in attendance as well :) And Will and Maggie always make things fun :)

Bubbles never fail to be fun :)

Tucker wasn’t particularly interested in the bubbles…

But that’s probably because he was ready for some cake :)

He had some help blowing out the candles :)

Emeline looks very very tempted…

Tucker’s cousins decided to join him in the spotlight… it was spectacularly adorable :)

But cousins don’t really like to share…

(Poor Maggie… Life is hard:))

Baby lashes and baby feet… love them both :)

There was a lot of cake on a lot of Tucker, so a post cake bath was definitely a necessity :)

When I left… Baby Tucker was still as happy as he was when I arrived :) It was a perfect party :)

baby everest & his big sister ada…round three :)

The Moncrief family makes me so happy :) It’s so refreshing just being around them. It almost doesn’t count as working… I just listen and talk and laugh and smile for a couple of hours. It’s amazing, every single time.

Baby Everest and Jimmy started the session off right by being absolutely adorable in some pretty spectacular light :)

Then it was time for Baby Everest to have a bit of dinner. This was only his second time ever having solid foods…and he really wasn’t quite sure what to think. Ada did an awesome job feeding him, though :)

I love that the feeding process became a family affair :)

This is one ridiculously cute baby boy. I kinda wanted to take him home with me.

Ada and Brittany decided they wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies. I was very enthusiastic about this particular idea. And I might’ve gotten to take some home with me… and I might’ve eaten them for breakfast the next morning. Don’t tell anyone.

Like mother…like daughter…

I love the look on Ada’s face… “Who me? I didn’t do it… I’m just sneaking bites of the cookie dough…nothing happening here…” :)

Everest was patiently enjoying his ExerSaucer while the girls in his family made a mess in the kitchen… He’s cute even when he’s not doing anything at all!

And he loves his Daddy…

I love Brittany’s style… even Baby Everest’s changing table is adorable!

Baby Everest apparently thinks he’s completely grown up… look at him posing just like Jimmy… :)

Baby Everest is too big for Ada to pick up and carry, so she figured out another way to move him from one place to another…

Baby Sierra & her big sister Alana…session 4:)

The last time I photographed Baby Sierra, she hadn’t quite mastered the art of sitting…Two months passed, and suddenly she not only mastered sitting, but she had also mastered crawling and pulling up! So we had a lot that we needed to document this time around :)

I love when Heather meets me at the front door with baby in hand… the light is always so nice there…
