baby everest & his big sister ada…round three :)

The Moncrief family makes me so happy :) It’s so refreshing just being around them. It almost doesn’t count as working… I just listen and talk and laugh and smile for a couple of hours. It’s amazing, every single time.

Baby Everest and Jimmy started the session off right by being absolutely adorable in some pretty spectacular light :)

Then it was time for Baby Everest to have a bit of dinner. This was only his second time ever having solid foods…and he really wasn’t quite sure what to think. Ada did an awesome job feeding him, though :)

I love that the feeding process became a family affair :)

This is one ridiculously cute baby boy. I kinda wanted to take him home with me.

Ada and Brittany decided they wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies. I was very enthusiastic about this particular idea. And I might’ve gotten to take some home with me… and I might’ve eaten them for breakfast the next morning. Don’t tell anyone.

Like mother…like daughter…

I love the look on Ada’s face… “Who me? I didn’t do it… I’m just sneaking bites of the cookie dough…nothing happening here…” :)

Everest was patiently enjoying his ExerSaucer while the girls in his family made a mess in the kitchen… He’s cute even when he’s not doing anything at all!

And he loves his Daddy…

I love Brittany’s style… even Baby Everest’s changing table is adorable!

Baby Everest apparently thinks he’s completely grown up… look at him posing just like Jimmy… :)

Baby Everest is too big for Ada to pick up and carry, so she figured out another way to move him from one place to another…

More lovely light… this time on Brittany and Baby Everest…

A bit of family madness… you never know what’s going to happen…

Crawling practice…

Running all over the place…

And snuggling (with a side of hair-pulling)…

This image looks very sweet… but I’m pretty sure the tight hold Ada has on Baby Everest is defensive in nature. She’s protecting her hair :)

Awwww…. Daddy and daughter snuggles…

Flexible baby :)

Happy baby.

Goodnight baby.

And while Baby Everest was sleeping… Jimmy and Ada were performing circus tricks in the living room. Fun times :)

Jimmy and Brittany… thanks so much for the laughter and for the ridiculously amazing cookies. What more could a girl ask for? I hope you guys enjoy your slideshow, and I can’t wait to come hang out again… SOON!

hugs and cookies :)

Baby Sierra & her big sister Alana…session 4:)

The last time I photographed Baby Sierra, she hadn’t quite mastered the art of sitting…Two months passed, and suddenly she not only mastered sitting, but she had also mastered crawling and pulling up! So we had a lot that we needed to document this time around :)

I love when Heather meets me at the front door with baby in hand… the light is always so nice there…

First thing on the agenda was lunch.

Rich and Alana are awfully cute together:)

Then it was time to capture all of Baby Sierra’s new tricks :)

Crawling…

Standing…

Being carried around by her big sister…

Oh, and of course, sitting :)

It’s always so easy to capture fun family moments with this family. They love each other some beautifully…so naturally.

Alana and Baby Sierra are SO fun together :)

Lots of action at this session… Baby Sierra wasn’t the only one with new tricks :)

One of my favorite images of the day is this capture of Rich and Alana. I can almost feel that hug…

The best images always seem to happen on this changing table :)

I can’t get over how big Baby Sierra has gotten… she’s almost as big as Alana!

More silly Alana antics…

And another quiet Rich and Alana moment. Love.

A few more family snuggles, and my job was done!

Rich and Heather… love you guys. Thanks for being amazing friends. I hope you love the slideshow :)

all my love,

amber

happy birthday baby davis!

Yes, I just blogged Baby Davis’ last session earlier today... I’m having a serious “get caught up on the blog” day, ok?

You already know that I’m crazy about Tamara and Ryan… I’ve said it at least 12 times in the last few years:) but just in case you missed it… I’m completely crazy about Tamara and Ryan. I love them. Lots. I kinda want to be them when I grow up :)

Now that that’s out of the way… on to the party :)

Baby Davis was walking a tiny bit when I saw him at our last session… but he had fully mastered the skill by his birthday party! My first glimpse of him was full speed ahead!

Ben was so tempted by the cupcakes… They were right there… so close…

Isn’t the birthday boy the cutest thing ever?

His big brother’s kinda cute, too :)

And he has the most wonderful parents…

Baby Davis’ adorable cousin Jack was there… I photographed Jack for the first time when he was just a little bitty guy… It’s so crazy to see him all grown up now!

Crazy cousin time… I have no idea how this particular activity got started, but I loved capturing it!

Isn’t Baby Davis’ Aunt Vern absolutely beautiful?

After a bit of eating and bed-bouncing and playing and socializing, it was time for the main event. The cake. And Baby Davis did not disappoint:)

(Ben REALLY didn’t want to keep waiting:))

That chocolate icing smelled SOOOOOOOO good. I’m so mad that I didn’t steal some before I left! (And I don’t even like cake!)

Don’t you want to just eat him?

Isn’t this such a typical scene? I thought it was so cute how everyone was documenting this moment :)

Tamara and Ryan… it has been an absolutely wonderful year. I love you guys, lots, and I’m excited to continue documenting your family as you grow up! You guys amaze me! I hope you enjoy Baby Davis’ birthday slideshow :) and I will talk to you guys soon!

much love!

cole & erika…preparing for baby christian :)

Time seems slip by way too fast, even when we have the best of intentions. It has been two years since I last photographed Baby Cole (who is now not a baby at all!) and his amazing family… two years is way too long! Cole has gone from a cute little toddler to an adorable mini man :) I can’t get over how well mannered and sweet he is!

And Erika has changed a bit as well :) She’s 9 months pregnant with Baby Christian, and she’s absolutely gorgeous.

Can you tell Cole loves his mommy? (And have you ever seen such a perfect little belly?)

Awwwww…. this was one of my favorite images ever. Such a perfect moment.

A bit of hide-and-go-seek in Baby Christian’s nursery… can you find Cole?

Cole loves playing with his Thomas the train…

Or riding his big Thomas upstairs…

He also loves playing in the game room…. I considered moving in, I loved this room so much :)

After running around the house doing some of Cole’s favorite things, we headed to Cole’s room to do a bit of reading before heading outside to play. I LOVE Cole’s bedroom… it’s always been one of my favorite places to photograph:)

He’s so cute, right? :)

He’s also very brave…

We were headed outside, and Cole decided that he needed a bathroom break. Typical boy. :)

Then we headed over to the lake to throw some rocks… more typical boy stuff:)

Isn’t Erika so beautiful.

We ran back inside so Cole could change into his swimsuit…I love the expressions on Cole’s face in these images.

And then we headed out to the pool :)

This is pure happiness.

It’s been so hot this summer… I’m pretty sure this pool is how Erika managed to survive this pregnancy.

Serious action shot. Erika’s face is hysterically awesome!

And one last shot… one of my favorites, for sure.

Erika… I hope you and Tim enjoy this slideshow… I’m so excited to have the opportunity to capture Baby Christian’s first year!

love y’all.

Happy Birthday Baby Evan!!!

Baby Evan was snoozing soundly when I arrived… oblivious to the fact that this was his big day. I love capturing them like this… so peaceful :)

I love that he woke up smiling. I stand by my previous assertion that this is the smiliest baby ever.

The birthday parties that I have photographed this year have all been SO great. This one was no exception… Baby Evan’s circus theme was adorable.

Baby Evan enjoyed spending quality time with some of his favorite people…

And everyone had the opportunity to do some serious playing.

I love these two images of Ryan and Colin on the swings!

And Evan enjoying the bouncehouse :)

Then it was time for some cake…

Evan’s not really big on sweets…

But his guests were definitely excited about it!

Poor Baby Evan ;)

He was just thirsty… a CapriSun made everything better :)

We headed inside so he could show me his newest trick… He’s become very adept at stair climbing.

And continues to be ridiculously cute regardless of what he is doing.

Colin was completely submerged in the world of iPhone games…

And Ryan was just being ridiculously cute :)

There was a bit of playing in the new fountain…

A bit of swinging…

And a bit of napping…

All in all… the perfect party :)

Mindy and Brett, I hope you guys enjoy this slideshow! Don’t let these boys grow up too much before you call me so I can come see you again!
